WALUIGI FOR SMASH {Short Stories}

by L. Máté, 6th grade

*loud steps*
-Master hand!
-What do you want Waluigi. Oh wait I know and NO!
-Tell me one reason why not. – Waluigi said
-Tell me one reason why.- M. Hand said
-Because you even let Piranha plant in!
-No I don—
-Hello, Master Hand I came as you asked - Piranha Plant said
-Really bad timing… - M. Hand said
-See! – Waluigi said – You even let Pichu in.
-No I don----
-Pichu chu!
-OH COME ON! Ok, even if I decided to put you in Smash what would be your final smash?
-Ummm. WAH!
-Nope. Saying wah isn’t going to be a good final smash.
-Then-
-Nope!
-I didn’t even say anything!
-Nope.
*Waluigi walks away while wispering something*
Waluigi was walking down the street sadly while it was raining. Everyone else was in Smash Bros exept him. Any where he went he saw people who are in Super Smash Bros.
-Oh Daisy you’re not in Smash right? - Walugi asked
-No I’m not in Smash.
-YEA I’M NOT ALONE!
Suddenly a robot appeared and handed a letter to Daisy. It was an invitation from Master Hand with the Super Smash Bros logo on it. Daisy opened the letter:

Dear Daisy
We are happy to invite you to Super Smash Bros Ultimatetm and we’ll be happy if you could come.

-M. Hand

-Please say you have something for me! – Waluigi asaid to the robot
-Let’s see… Yes, I have a letter for you Waluigi from Master Hand.
-YES!
 It was a letter from Master Hand with the Super Smash Bros logo on it. Waluigi opened the letter:

Dear Waluigi
Don’t even think about it!
-M. Hand

Waluigi was so angry that he kicked the robot. The robot’s self defense activated. The robot transformed into a giant… well um.. robot and tried to kill Waluigi. He shot lasers and rockets at Waluigi but he dodged them. Then the robot’s hand transformed into a sword and tried to slice Waluigi in half. Waluigi grabed a Bobomb and threw it at the robot. The Bobomb hit the robot and exploded. Every one clapped and Mario said:
-Wow Waluigi  good final smash!
-You’re right I finally have a final smash!
-Yea you will be like those guys over there!
Mario pointed at Link and some other guys. Waluigi got angry (again). Waluigi went to M. Hand.
-Walugi, the assist trophy meeting is over there not here! – Master Hand said.
Walugi got angrier than he normally was and he grabbed a vase and smashed it to the ground. Master Hand got angry too. He grabbed Waluigi and smashed him to the ground. Waluigi then grabbed a tennis ball and a tennis racket and he hit the ball with the racket. The ball flew to Master Hand and hit him in the hand (because it’s impossible to hit him anywhere else) Master Hand was suprised. He tried to say something but he couldn’t. After a half minute silence Master Hand finnaly said something.

-Waluigi I’m impressed. This could be a very good final smash.
-Oh thank you! So you will put me in smash?-Waluigi asked happily.
-It would be a good final smash if you didn’t use it on me!- Master hand yelled.
Waluigi didn’t say anything. He just walked away silently. Well, he might never get in Smash Bros…
Hopefully Super Smash Bros Ultimate is not the last Smash Bros and Waluigi will be in one…

Give Waluigi hope!
Make Waluigi into Super Smash Bros!
Give assist trophies hope!

Eiffel Tower {Famous Sights Post}

by Fanni, 8th grade

The Eiffel Tower is in  France, Paris. The Eiffel Tower—or as the French call it, La Tour Eiffel—is one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks. The tower was designed as the centerpiece of the 1889 World's Fair in Paris and was meant to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution and show off France’s modern mechanical prowess on a world stage. When Gustave Eiffel designed his namesake tower, he cleverly included a private apartment for himself where he hosted famous guests, like Thomas Edison. The apartment is now open for the public to tour. As mentioned before, the Tower was built with the intent of showing off France’s industrial prowess during the World’s Fair, but the plan was to tear it down after 20 years. Eiffel had cleverly put a radio antenna and wireless telegraph transmitter in the Tower and the government eventually decided it was too useful to demolish.  Before the Eiffel Tower was built, Eiffel's firm was asked to design the internal frame for the Statue of Liberty, a task assigned to his trusted employee, Maurice Koechlin. They proved their iron handwork with Lady Liberty First.

by Eszter, 8th grade

Paris, France

       Paris is the capital and most populous city in France. It is located along the Seine River in the northern central part of France. In the world there are 38 cities called "Paris". The city is relatively flat, and the lowest point is 35 meters. In 987 AD, Paris became the capital of France. Paris is famous for fashion and love. After you see the city you should go sailing on the river Seine, it’s a romantic program for couples as well. If you tried it, you can have a croissant or a coffee. I imagine French people to be very nice and helpful if you can't speak French. They could tell you about a sight that you shouldn't miss, for example the Louvre. It’s the world’s largest art museum and historic monument in Paris. The museum opened  in 1793. You can see Mona Lisa and the Coronation of Napoléon there and buy some souvenirs.
       One of the symbols of the city is the Eiffel Tower. It is possible to climb to the top, however people usually take the lift. The building was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. The Eiffel Tower is 324 meters tall, and this is the tallest structure in Paris. A lot of people from all around the world visit it every year. The tickets aren’t expensive. From the top of the building the view is beautiful.
      This is the kind of trip that I would plan. I believe I can give some useful information to you. If you want to visit France it would be a great experience.

Streamer BTWs {Short Story}

by K. Mátyás, 6th grade

Once upon a time there was a guy called Lannan who hated Streamers. He had a big reason for that. Nobody knows what it was, but it was there. He just said: I hate Ninja and Myth and every Streamer BTW cause I look stupid if they are playing. And he started a game with a gingerbread man called Gingey and went to Retail Row to hunt some Streamer BTWs cause there are a lot of Streamer BTWs in Retail Row. But for the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh,… he always got destroyed by a Streamer BTW. He hunted for four hours for Streamer BTWs, but had only eliminated three or four Streamer BTWs. But suddenly he had a plan. He thought: If I look like a Streamer BTW, maybe I can win! But it was very hard to look like a Streamer BTW. There were laws. If you want to be a Streamer BTW you have to follow all of these rules all the time. The first rule was easy… to understand, you can’t smile, laugh, dab or do anything like these. The second rule is: pyramids. So the Streamer BTWs love pyramids, so you need to fight with pyramids. The third rule was interesting. So if you eliminate someone you need to dance… with your character. ’I’M DANCING ON YOUR GRAAAAAVESS!!!’ said the Mexican default. The fourth rule was: you need to say’ CLIPP THAAT!!’ after every elimination. The last rule was easy. If you get eliminated you report anybody for: Stream Sniping. And he went for sure. He changed his name from LazarLazar to TTV.Streamer.BTW. He started the game with a real Streamer BTW on his team. He was RNGMrfreshasian. On the first match they died early, but they had a lot of eliminations. But he didn’t follow all of the rules. He danced after almost all of the eliminations, he built a lot of pyramid, he reported somebody for: SauerfhsdljioéklTeweREwerewAM SNiIjoéPőINjGsdiufgheridéigvbrbhif (or something else I don’t know). But he was happy after every elimination and he didn’t say: CLIPP THAAT!! On the second match he eliminated a lot of players,and he said: CLIP THAAT!!, he danced a lot, he reported his murderer for:SsaTRErsAMjSaNIoéPewrEslfysdfRjkerhgvkdjikghd (or something else, I don’t know), and he built a lot of Pyramids, but he was happy. Sorry, he looked happy. On the third match he did everything that he wanted. He dropped at Pleasent Park with his little friend, RNGMrfreshasian and they eliminated a lot of players, he didn’t say:CLIP THAAT!! , but he didn’t look happy and sad, so he looked like a robot. He danced, he built a lot of Pyramids, but they didn’t have to use the Report Block cause they finally won! He laughed for thirthy seconds, but this strategy worked. When they saw the                               #1 VICTORY ROYALE on the screen he spoke like a STREAMER BTW. He said: GGs! GGs guys!

Super Mario Bros {Short Story}

by L. Máté, 6th grade

-Oh Mario the princess has been captured (loud whisper) again.

-Oh come-a on! It’s-a third time in the week! LUIGI COME-A HERE WE HAVE-A SOMETHING TO DO!

-What’s so important?-Luigi asked

-Guess what.

-No.

-Why?

-Because I’ve had enough! I’m not going to save the princess every day and not even get paid for it!

-Okei dokie but-a if I get something for saving the princess-a you aren’t going to get anything.

-Okay.

So Mario went on an ’amazing’ adventure to save the princess.

He had to kill a lot of mushrooms and turtles but it was fine because they were Bowser’s minions. He even met a cute dinosaur called Yoshi (Yeah I know he is not in smb1 but still). After many, and by many I mean MANY, hours later he finally got to Bowser’s castle. It was full of lava, even though I don’t know how. He then faced Bowser himself. They had an epic fight and by epic I mean that Bowser, no one knows why, put an axe at the and of the bridge and when he jumped Mario ran under him grabed the axe and cut down the bridge. Bowser also thought it was a good idea to put lava under the bridge so he fell in the hot lava.
Then he met the princ…

-Princess-a where are you..

-Thank you for saving me Mario but our princess is in an other castle.-Toad said

-So you’re saying that I almost died of hunger and killed tons of mushrooms just to get to the wrong castle?!

-Ummm… Yeah?

-I-I… I give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rome {Famous Sights Post}

by Fruzsina, 8th grade

Rome
Rome is the capital city of Italy. This city is the biggest and most populated in the country. The population is around 2.87 million. Rome is the center of the Roman Catholic Church. Rome is also home to the Vatican City. The legend of Rome claims that it happened on the 21 of April in 753 BC. At this time Romulus and Remus founded Rome. Here in Rome there are a lot of sights. My favourite is the Colosseum.

Colosseum
The Colosseum is an ancient Roman architecture. It’s 188m long and 156m wide and 48.5m high. It has five floors. The ancient building is made of limestone, wood and brick. They completed the building in 80 AD, in the 2nd century. Titus opened up the building with a ceremony. On the opening day 5000 wild animals were shown. In the building the gladiators were fighting for their life. The Colosseum is the one of the seven wonders of the world. Rome is a beautiful city that’s why I want to visit it in the future. There’s a lot of sight and places that we can explore. You can also learn from the history of the ancient Rome, or you can just visit some restaurant and try the Italian foods.

Taj Mahal {Famous Sights Post}

by Emese, 8th grade

Taj Mahal
(meaning "Crown of the Palaces")

Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It's one of the most populous cities in Uttar Pradesh, and the 24th most populous in India.

The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous buildings in the world. It's a white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. There are at least thirty different types of gemstones decorating the Taj Mahal to make it even more beautiful. Construction of the Taj Mahal took around 20 years, beginning around 1632 and finishing around 1653. It covers an area of 17 hectares. The full height of the Taj Mahal is 171 metres (561 feet). It’s symmetrical in almost every way, only the two tombs are different sizes. The male tomb is larger than the female tomb. The Taj Mahal attracts 7–8 million visitors a year. It was built as the final resting place for Mumtaz Mahal, the third wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Scientists fear that the Taj Mahal may be slowly sinking into the Yamuna River. This is according to Wikipedia.

San Francisco {Famous Sights Post}

by P. Niki, 8th grade

San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge

I’m gonna tell you some interesting facts about San Francisco. The first one that amazed me was that this city has the largest and oldest Japantown. Its other name is "Nihonmachi," and Japanese immigrants came here during the 20th century. Many people are surprised to hear this, but the city is actually built on 50 hills. It includes: Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Telegraph Hill, Twin Peaks, etc. If you think that there’s nothing interesting about SF besides the sights, you’re very wrong. The first electric TV was invented in 1927 by Philio Farnsworth. His working lab was at 202 Green Street which is in San Francisco. The Bay area constantly has natural disasters., but the hundreds of earthquakes each year are so small, people don’t even feel them anymore. Probably the most interesting fact about San Francisco is that its famous Golden Gate Bridge was built in only four years. However, restoration process took way longer on the Oakland side, 11 years to be exact.

Mid-day picture of the streets of Chinatown

Wonder how the city of San Francisco was built? It was the famous Chinatown that started it. Technically, the heart of Chinatown, a house, was built around 1822 by an English sailor in the Portsmouth Square. The first Chinese arrived in San Francisco in 1848, a man and two women. Two years later there were already 20 thousand people in that area. Chinatown is now home to 15 thousand Chinese, and the majority do not speak English. Tourists find this place amazing not only because of the architecture, but the whole culture itself. About 2 million people visit Chinatown each year. The New Year Parade is one of the coolest festivals out there, with the Community Street Fair, Chinatown Pageant and much more. 500,000 people visit this festival along with 3 million TV viewers. If you’re hungry and happen to visit Chinatown, you came to the right place. There are many food places here. If you want to eat in an aesthetically pleasing place and also enjoy your meal, you probably want to visit China Live. They have traditional Chinese dishes, that are made to be luxurious. China Live is actually a complex, so you can not only eat there, but you can get coffee and buy cooking utensils. If you want to go out with your friends on the weekend, you can go to the Li Po Cocktail Lounge. It’s a 90’s/2000’s themed bar with amazing old school cocktails. Overall, I chose to talk about San Francisco’s Chinatown because it’s a great place to hang out, and you can experience the life of a very different culture in the comfort of your own hometown.

Empire State Building {Famous Sights Post}

by Esther, 8th grade

One of the most famous cities in the USA is New York City. It is the city with the greatest population, with 8,175,000 people, according to Wikipedia. It is divided into five parts: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. The town is described as the cultural, financial, and media capital of the world. There are also 800 different languages spoken in the city. Some famous sights are Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building.

The Empire State Building can be found in Manhattan, New York. It is about 440 meters high including the tip. The building is huge, because there are 73 lifts and 102 floors. The building is also famous for its lights. According to the building's website, the skyscraper was first lit in 1976, and from then on has been changing color for different occasions. In 2012, new LED displays were installed, and since then the system can now change for up to 16 million colors. I chose this sight because I really wanted something from New York and the Statue of Liberty was already taken.
